Lauded Commercial Mortgage Banking Executive Responsible for More Than $6 Billion of Career Production Joins Largest Independent Commercial Mortgage Banking Firm in Western U.S.

LOS ANGELES, CA – Newmark Realty Capital, Inc. (NRC), the largest independent commercial mortgage banking firm in the western U.S., has named Ms. Paige Serden as Executive Vice President. Ms. Serden will join NRC’s Los Angeles production team of commercial mortgage banking professionals as a senior producer. Prior to joining NRC, Ms. Serden supervised the placement and management of and/or directly placed more than $6 billion in commercial mortgage finance during her executive career.

“As a company founded, owned and managed by direct producers, we are extremely selective when adding professionals to our production teams,” said Peter Welsh, principal with Newmark Realty Capital’s Los Angeles office. “Throughout her career of impressive professional and personal milestones, Paige has documented her commitment to performance results, best practices and peer development initiatives directly aligned with the best practices that define our platform. We look forward to her contributions serving the strategic needs of our clients as our platform and capabilities continue to grow in this organic fashion.”

Prior to joining NRC, Ms. Serden enjoyed 23 years of executive leadership at City National Bank in various positions overseeing commercial mortgage finance and related initiatives valued in excess of $6 billion. During her tenure with City National Bank, she enjoyed several career achievement awards, including the bank’s: Pinnacle Trophy; Line of Business Partner of the Year; Blue Ladder Recipient; and Presidential Circle. She has also been named by Real Estate Forum as one of the commercial real estate industry’s Women of Influence.

Ms. Serden is a graduate of University of San Diego and actively serves with the following organizations: Advising Board Member – Ziman Center for Real Estate, UCLA Anderson School of Management; and Board Member – Lamda Alpha International, Los Angeles Chapter, a Land Economics Fraternity.

Newmark Realty Capital (NRC), a privately held company based in San Francisco, is a full service mortgage banking firm with an extensive lineup of correspondent lenders utilizing NRC’s production, closing and servicing capabilities. Established in 1991, NRC is currently staffed by over 70 employees in regional offices throughout the western United States. The company’s national servicing platform of $12 billion represents over 1,300 loans located in 40 states. NRC is rated as a Primary Servicer by Standard & Poor’s and is one of a select few non-banking/non-insurance chartered companies with this designation.
